This is making me flash back to my first real bra, when I refused to leave the house because the lines were showing and my Mom was eyerolling so hard because I refused to believe that that's a normal thing.

My experience was the other way around.

I would try to leave the house and my Mum would be doing that horrified loud mum-whisper "YOUR BRA IS SHOWING!" She really freaked out about it. I never found the reason why.
