- When people say they're really into the things I am, but as soon as I try to engage them in a conversation that goes beyond the bare basics, they have no idea what I'm talking about. It's not necessarily those people's faults, their idea of loving something and mine is clearly different (mine tends to mean I've read/watched it a million times and know the most mundane details, other people's seem to be they can name two characters apart from the main character), but it makes for awkward and frustrating situations.

- People who can't tell you're getting off the phone. I have a friend I won't even talk to on the phone anymore because I could say "oh shit, gotta go, my house is burning down" and she'd keep on talking the night away.

This. Both of these.

The second one, so much. And not even just phone calls: My parents have a friend who talks and talks without ever stopping. I usually avoid her, but one day, I ran into her when she was visiting. I tried keeping the conversation at a minimum, but she kept talking at me. And then I very clearly said "I have to go now. Goodbye" - several times even. And she looked like she had acknowledged it, so I went downstairs. And when I had reached the bottom of the stairs, I heard that she was apparently still talking at me, fully expecting me to still listen to her.
And she keeps doing that. It's so weird.

OMG I hate it when people can't get off the phone. It's why I hardly ever talk on the phone these days. Or part of the reason, at least. It's such a timesink, and if you've already told the person you need to wrap it up, rude!
