I don't care if people have issues with his writing or way of doing things; those are legitimate complaints and if they want to talk about them, they have every right to. (TBH my interest in DW seems to lessen every year, and I do wonder if some of it is because of his writing.)

Some people DO get too worked up about it though (the people who act like it's their job to insult him and/or wish him harm), but that kind of poor behavior isn't just apparent in Doctor Who fandom either. (Maybe DW fandom gets more of it, but just saying.)

Yeah, well many other's lack of interest is due to the bitching of people like you. If you don't like it, then just bugger off instead of trying to insist everyone else not like it too. We don't all enjoy being a yellow streak of misery.

Except I never insisted everyone else shouldn't like it. I'm a-okay with people liking DW, I just said I was losing interest. There's a world of difference between, "I think people should be allowed to discuss their opinions, even negative ones" and "Moffat is an asshole who deserves to die in a fire and anyone who likes him is an idiot and also incredibly wrong." That isn't cool.

Eliminator wasn't doing that at all, though. "I'm losing interest" is not the same as "this is objectively bad and if you like it you are wrong." The first is reasonable criticism. The second is obnoxious.
