Google reactions to Louisa May Alcott pairing Laurie with Amy.

This has already come up in the thread, but it is still my favorite old time shipping wank. I had popcorn the whole time my children's lit class covered this book since people got invested all over again.

Yeah, I saw it after I refreshed the page XD I remember reading it when I was young and being one of the few in my class that wasn't mad about Jo and Laurie not ending up together (I loved Amy too)

Haha, it's okay! It just makes me happy so many people know about it since it's always the first example that pops up in my head when historical shipping wank comes up.

(I was also fine with him ending up with Amy since she and Jo tied for my faves too.)

I wasn't super fond of Amy but she could have Laurie, he was a big baby.

Yeah, Laurie wanted to BE a March sister, and was just marrying Jo for her family...as demonstrated by him immediately turning around and proposing to Amy. At least they can happily use each other.

Those are hilarious. Tbh the only reason I ship them is because of the Little Women movie with Winona Ryder. Don't ship them in the book.

I couldn't ship them in any version tbh, but I admit they had a lot of chemistry in the movie.
