The way this is phrased made me think you were saying Michelle Trachtenberg was James Marsters' wife. I was a pretty big BtVS fangirl back in the day, and to think I wouldn't know such a thing... for a few seconds my brain was doing somersaults of WTF and NO WAY, SRLSY?!, OMG.

So thanks, I guess, for making me feel sixteen again. XD

Yeah, I had to do a quick spot of Googling to make sure they weren't actually currently A Thing.

Meh. Never hated Michelle or Dawn (I had a kid sister, I completely get Dawn - most of the hate was from young girls who probably were somebody's kid sister screaming "BUT I'M NOT LIKE THAT! GET OUT!"), but Spike was pretty much everything wrong with the series by the end. Not JM's fault, mind - he did what he could with what they gave him.
