Who, who, who, and who? And if I missed anyone, who?

Appropriately, the one on the top right is probably from Dr. Who. (I'm assuming because of the telephone box.) It's a good bet the others are from the same show--maybe one's a former Doctor, since they say he "stayed way too long."

They are all companions from Doctor who. The "stayed too long" one is named Jamie.

Mickey Mel Nyssa K9
Tegan Martha Gwen Clara

idk the ones they avoid but i think the girl is Dodo

Jamie didn't stay around half long enough imo he and the Doctor clinging was the bestest

I truly don't know why fandom is not all over this more. I mean.

I know, right?!? I mean, look at these absurd little koalas:

I mean, it's probably just that neither actor had much need for personal space and Hines is one of those "If I don't touch everything how do I know reality is real??", but hot damn. What a clingy codependant adorable pocket-sized TARDIS team, Zoe included.

I read somewhere, but I can't remember where, that the actors deliberately slipped some of the more innuendo-ish lines in to see what they can get away with.

And I love Zoe. I wanted to be Zoe for Halloween but I couldn't find anything that worked for a costume.

I only recognize Martha, Mickey, Clara, K9. I think the dude in the Kilt is Jamie. I should get around to watching Classic Who but eh I don't have the drive or will to watch that many episodes.

I'd recommend you just ask two different classic Who fans to rec you five serials each and watch those. Don't bother trying to wade through the entire thing, it's just sooooooo long and there's so little continuity it doesn't matter.

Or if you don't know any Classic Who fans, google around to find a rec list and pick a few that sound cool.

Thank you, anon! I don't know any Classic Who fans so I will look for some rec lists.

Thank you. :)

Chipping in with my rec list:

The Aztecs (1stDoc): The original TARDIS team, fulfilling their original BBC mandate to educate as well as entertain. Yes, it's stagey as hell, but it's fascinating to see the seeds of so many future quirks being sown.

The Time Monster (3rdDoc). A quintessential UNIT family story, everyone's settled into their roles for a fun runaround, Jon Pertwee gets to show a bit of range and you get absolute proof as to why Roger Delgado was taken from us too damn soon.

Genesis of the Daleks (4thDoc). First appearance of Davros, but even so worth watching for proper grownup morality (VERY unusual in Saturday teatimes of 1975)and some stellar performances from dear ol' Tom and Lis Sladen.

Black Orchid (5thDoc). Bit of a palate cleanser, this one. A spot of cricket, a spot of tea on the lawn, a spot of Something Nasty lurking in the shadows. There's a couple of moments that demonstrate that a) Peter Davison was really underrated and b) good grief, there's seldom been such punchable companions as Adric and Tegan.

Remembrance Of The Daleks (7thDoc). One of the high spots of Slyv's tenure, among the bangs and crashes is a conversation about sugar that proves he is't just a broad comedian. Also, you'll see the precise moment Ace became my hero (hint: Dalek vs. magic baseball bat).

Thank you for the recs!
