The people who owned my parents' current house in the early '80s (the ones before the couple we bought it from in 2000) were very into wallpaper. They papered over the switchplates on the lights. And they papered the vents. Not the little bars, but the plates around them. And the patterns always match up pretty much perfectly. It's kind of amazing.
