Whereas you would prefer to see the staff doubled or preferably quadrupled, with everyone doing less for more.

That would be awful, people having more disposable income and less stress. Able to spend time at home, hobbies, or general private lives not centered around a place of employment. A more even distribution of wealth too. Oh god, the horror, the horror.

Sure it would mean less stratospherically rich people, but far more people unemployed or dirt scrapingly poor too.

Far less unemployed people, I think you mean.

but IA for what it's worth. It would be bad for stock prices and good for most everything else I think.

There it is. There's the whiny baby I thought was behind these posts. You've emerged at last from your cocoon! oooh, now we can start discussing better systems of government that will surely work this time if everybody JUST WISES UP LIKE YOUUUUUUUUUU

It doesn't need to be a different system of government at all. It's hardly pie in the sky to talk about things that are common in many places around the world and that have been different in our country within living memory. Don't be a ridiculous little person.

Its called striking a balance. Right now things are seriously out of whack with too much power over people's lives in the hands of the corporations, and the more an employee gives then the lower those standards get for everyone.
