Ahh, I forgot to mention Aomine/Kise but I feel the same. They have little interaction and though Aomine was friendly to him in the special episodes (as he was with everyone), he's pretty cold to him now. (Although to be fair, he's pretty cold to everyone that isn't Momoi and Kuroko. And he doesn't have the same relationship with Kuroko as he did in Middle School either.)

Kise/Kuroko is super cute! Not my favorite pairing, but Kise's enthusiasm when speaking about Kuroko really made me ship it. He's just so stupidly fond of Kuroko; it feels like he has this big crush he never grew out of. It's ridiculous, but sweet. And Kuroko's reactions...bless.

Well to be fair to AoKise (even though it's my notp), there's an entire arc in the manga the anime hasn't covered yet that portrays the Teikou years.

I need to read the manga. Now is the time I suppose, since it's suppoedly ending next week. :(

The Teikou years interest me so much and I actually wish it was easier finding fanfic set during them. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place, or don't know what to search for.

I did see the two special episodes of the anime that showed Kise joining the Teikou team, then the one dealing with Aomine and Kuroko becoming friends and practicing together, and loved those. So if there's even more of that in the manga: yesssssssssss.

As for Aomine/Kise, maybe there is more fuel in the manga...but at least from what I know about those two, I'm not feeling it. Who knows, maybe that will change.

Yeah :( The fandom's in total mourning. It feels like such a random place to end the series, but I guess this drives home that this is, in point of fact, a manga about basketball and not the emotional development of the players, like we all probably wish. But I don't have to be happy about it!

I can understand that. Seems to me that, of the 25% of KNB fic that's actually readable, more than half is made up of fluffy domestic future fic. Which I'm into, sure, but some variety please? I saw someone writing a wip sci-fi AU the other day and latched onto it like it was my last chance at life, lol.

Yeah, the Teikou arc is long and... really angsty toward the end. (Is that too spoilery?) Fans who like shipping the GOMs together should definitely read it.

Eh, it's not like I hate AoKise or am squicked by it or anything, so I guess... combination of factors, including being unable to find any fics I like, shipping them respectively with other people, and once encountering character bashing in that corner of the fandom. Yeah, that one has soured me toward a few things, and this ship is one of them.

It struck me pretty hard too. I only realized KnB was even a thing a couple weeks ago, became kind of obsessed and was looking forward to a couple more seasons of dramatic Basketball flirting. Was hoping to catch up with the manga too, and now I'm kind of bummed. I don't know how you can wrap up anything in a satisfying manner this quickly. I really wanted to see how Kuroko would interact with his former teammates after the Winter Cup, and what Seirin did next. Thought glasses might confess his love for coach, and wanted to know if Teppei was ever going to heal or play basketball again. This is upsetting. Maybe Kuroko goes and plays college basketball with Kagami, maybe we'll see that in a sequel. (Unlikely...)

Ooo, I wonder if the sci-fi fic is a pairing I ship. I'll have to look it up. And I feel weird saying this, but I'm all about the fluff. It's not usually the type of fic I look for, but recently it's my everything. I would rather present day fluff though, and not all of it's written to my tastes, but... I like the genre. Variety is always nice, though. Maybe people will eventually start writing more weird AU's; AU's are insanely popular in most of my fandoms.

It isn't too spoilery! Plus, I've been spoiled for most everything already, between tumblr, fanfic, the KnB wiki, and Manga scans. Lol, so no worries; I don't mind. The angst is one of my favorite things about anime/Manga, so I'll def love it.

Aww, I was hoping this was a nice, wank free fandom... It seems like it should be, but I guess no fandom is entirely pleasant. I haven't run into anything like that yet, so hopefully it's calmed down... Er, but with the manga ending soon maybe that'll rile people up even more... Poop.
