Many of these women turn around and demonstrate that they are incapable of distinguishing reality from fiction by defending clearly non-consensual acts in fiction and claiming they are consensual.

Most of the time, the authors of the work intend for the reader to "understand" that the act is mutually satisfying and consensual.

They do not clarify that they know that these acts would be non-consensual in real life

I can tell you that I enjoy some rapey yaoi titles and while I recognize that if the events therein occurred in real life, the seme should be doing hard time. But I'm not going to begin every conversation about it with a disclaimer up every time I mention the series because I already realize it and I don't need to justify myself. Just like everyone who watches Game of Thrones doesn't need to say, "Now wait, listen- practically everyone in this show is borderline evil by our modern, non-alternate history culture, but yadda yadda."

If you are one of the people who can recognize rape when you see it - GREAT - but you're not the person people are concerned about when they address these issues.

That is something a witch would worry about.
