I get this. I generally prefer 3rd person in my fic, so will gravitate towards that - though I think some of that for me is to do with the disjunction of the canon POV and the fanwork POV e.g. it's weord to read 1st person Potter fic that is otherwise similar in style to the books, because the books were 3rd person. TV & movies tend to be 3rd person omniscient by default. But on the flipside, it would be a bit weird to read Harry Dresden fanfic in 3rd person.

2nd person I avpid like the plague in fanfic because most people who use it think they're much cleverer than they are but have actually just turned the wank factor up to 11. That isn't a judgement on 2nd person though, it's a judgement on people who use it with no clearcut narrative reason other than 'this makes my story seem deep & stuff'.
