I do wonder how many people think I'm a guy when I'm playing as one of my male characters in games.

Uuuh don't have any stories personally but that link from ages ago about how white people using rice cookers to steam things is cultural appropriation still amuses me.

I actually use them to cook rice to go with Chinese-food-inna-bag. (Trader Joe's has some really good orange chicken that just needs to be put in the oven for twenty minutes and have the sauce poured on it.) Cultural appropriation like whoa.

There's actually a lot of SJW wank about one of the characters from Steven Universe. One character has three eyes, and people are claiming appropriation of some sort of Indian culture. It's really hinted at this character actually being two people in one body, though. It's silly to think a third eye has to be an Indian only thing or a cultural thing.

I wonder if these people have ever seen the three eyed fish from the Simpsons.

I know the concept of the third eye is part of Hindu and Taoist (and possibly other) philosophies but I don't think it's supposed to function simply like a biological third eye as I imagine this Steven Universe character's does (I had to google pictures). Additional body parts are a common trope in identifying alien humanoid species. I highly doubt the creators had this in mind when they made the character.

That sounds really good right now. Man, I need to make dinner soon.
I don't even own a rice cooker at the moment so I just boil mine in a pot.
