Re: Yuletide
(Anonymous) 2014-09-02 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)I'm kind of bummed nominations are down to 3 this year.
I'm still considering what I'm going to nominate. I was thinking of trying to get Unfinished Tales by Tolkien in. It's listed under Silmarillion, which is over the limit, but I have some super rare characters I'd love fic for and I think there's maybe an argument to be made to say they're different in UT. But, since I'm new, I feel like maybe this was all hashed out years ago already. I thought I might try it and post to the evidence post to see what people say, but maybe I'll wait another year so that it doesn't look like I'm trying to sneak The Hobbit in.
Re: Yuletide
I'm not really familiar with those fandoms, but -- under the new rules -- it sounds to me like it should be okay. I've been doing Yuletide since 2007 (yikes), and I can't particularly remember much talk about it previously so you shouldn't worry about that! If you want to request it you should.
