Oh god, this dates me so badly, but...

The Secret of Nimh, The Ewok Movie, The Last Unicorn, The Real Ghostbusters (and the first Ghostbusters movie)...

The best Star Wars movie, imo. Anyone who thinks differently is wrong.

(it had a ferret! I wanted a ferret forever because of that)

I loved The Secret of Nimh books but have never seen the whole movie. I should try and get a copy of it. And the other three things I have never seen. Well, I may have watched The Real Ghostbusters. But I HAVE seen the movies and I quite enjoy them (my uncle has a tattoo of Slimer).

You should do it! It's really fantastic, and shockingly adult for something that might have been marketed to kids.

And The Real Ghostbusters is pretty awful, but awful in such a good way. In a way that only 80's cartoons really could be.

A lot of movies from that era were quite adult. I expect it was just Don Bluth's thing. Maybe he liked watching kids cry. :P
