This is the last one, I swear! What is something you loved as child, love now, and will probably love until the day you die?

For me that is (unsurprisingly) Lion King. It was the movie of my childhood and is still the only movie I can watch over and over and over again (I just watched it last night). I can only assume my last words will be me going "Remember, remember, remember..."

Wall-E is definitely my favorite Pixar movie. That first half is just a masterpiece.

I looked up Secret of Mana and saw it never had an American release (as far as I saw), how were you able to access it? Or do I have the wrong Secret of Mana?

So many things! Harry Potter, animated Disney movies (which I actually like better now than I did when I was a kid because I'm a big animation nerd now), and Animorphs are probably the biggest.

Star Trek: The Next Generation is topping the charts for me. I still love a ton of books from my childhood too...the classics like Little House on the Prairie and basically everything Roald Dahl ever wrote, and Island of the Blue Dolphins was one that really stuck with me.

Also, Ace of Base.

The Megaman series! Other game series I've gone through and ended up hating most of their entries (Sonic and Metroid) but I love almost every entry in the Megaman series except 7 (which I never liked really.)

Harry Potter for sure, though really I was a teenager. But a young teen. Also, Mrs. Doubtfire. I actually only watched it once or twice, the second or third time being years and years later, and I still remembered entire lines. I mean really random lines. I realize the movie's flawed now, but I still love it. (And I DO like that at the end, the couple doesn't get back together, but it's still a happy ending.)

Star Wars. The fandom can go step on Lego for all I care (just when I think it's kind of okay, something/one comes along and makes me misanthropic about it all over again), but regardless of the grievances I have with the movies and fandom, I just love the universe and assorted EU/Legends things... mostly the Old Republic era.

Final Fantasy in general will always have a soft spot in my heart, too. Even if the recent games have been rubbish (strictly IMHO) and I have mega issues with the Compilation of FF7, it's still like a nice, warm nostalgic blanket: has a few holes in it here and there, but it gives some comfort regardless.

Star Trek: TNG, Disney's Sleeping Beauty(re-watched that recently and god, I love it so, so much), the PS1 Crash Bandicoot games, Gremlins, Dragonheart, Dragons in general, Beatrix Potter books, and superheroes.

(It was more than one thing but man I've got a lot of childhood shit that I will love forever).

I'm with you on Lion King. Also Mulan and some of the other older Disney films. (Like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Fox and the Hound, etc.)

Gaming in general, though I have a special place in my heart for the Sonic Adventure series and Mario 64. Also Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia...dreamcast in general, really. Oh, and Kingdom Hearts. I'm not as into it now and I'm way behind with the series, but god, the first two games were so good.

Tolkien forever and always and Indiana Jones.

Certain anime, like Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho and Cowboy Bebop. For manga Saiyuki.

Ninja Turtles. Have both the 80s and the 2004 series on DVD, still have most of the first movie memorized and never get bored of re-watching it. When the newest series came out a coworker asked why I was watching it, aren't you too old for that, etc. and I told them for me, it's like those people who watched Star Trek or Doctor Who as little kids and keep watching every new version faithfully forever after. I will continue to watch new Turtles shows no matter how old I get (unless those incarnations are made by Michael Bay and are pieces of crap that shit all over my beloved franchise yes I have issues with the new movie how could you tell).

Looking at the other replies makes me feel old.

The Trixie Belden books I still have my incomplete collection. The first three Anne of Green Gables books and my fave LM Montgomery book ever, The Blue Castle--I was given these books as Xmas presents from my great grandmother and still reread them. Oh, and music wise, Duran Duran....
