I'm not a big fan of cheating but since when did it become the done thing to get Internet gangs together and go around shaming people who cheat (let alone actually enforcing them like some kind of medieval village morality squad)

and it really seems like that's something like 60% of what this whole imbroglio is

It's not about the cheating really. It's about who it's with. If she wasn't in a relationship with someone it would still be that she's a gamemaker sleeping with a reporter who is giving her good reviews and her boss.
