Heh, I recently submitted a secret about this very thing.

But I'll also admit I'm overprotective about several people who get trashed by fans. Most of the time it's because the character either hasn't done anything at all to deserve that insane amount of hate (it's like complaining a fluffy kitten wasn't "badass enough" when they tried to be "badass" or weren't even trying tobe badass in the first place), or there is something in the character's past or present that gave birth to an undesirable trait (not "excuses" it, but shows the reason why they are the way they are).
