I don't get it either, but I think part of that is because I don't ship based on looks -- I ship based on dynamics (and I ship really hard and without conscious control. It's frighteningly similar to falling in love, which worries me sometimes, but what're you gonna do). If you take those dynamics away, then there's nothing there for me to enjoy. You might as well be talking about two completely different people (and, really, you are).
