I am a big Disney fan and I still love a lot of their movies. That being said, the company has a lot that it can be criticized for and I have a lot of criticism for some of their movies as well. The insane amount of defensiveness some Disney fans have is rather mind-boggling. Like you can't love something without also being aware of its flaws. In the Disney RP group on tumblr I used to be in, some of the members got upset if you didn't like every single Disney film. It was a bit awkward.

Of course, my love for Disney could also be because of my love for animation and seeing as I'm wary of where they're going animation-wise, I'm not really feeling the same excitement for their upcoming movies as I used to.

Yeah, the former head of Pixar running Disney's animation dept. and the last few Disney movies has me worrying that we can kiss 2-D animation goodbye.

I thought that was a given. Disney 2D animated movies are a thing of the past, unfortunately.

There are rumors that the Polynesian princess movie is supposed to be in 2D. Keep our fingers crossed!

I'm not gonna hold my breath. Wasn't Frozen originally supposed to be 2D? And then it got changed to CGI iirc. Plus with how poorly Disney's last few 2D animated mivies have done, I'm not holding out much hope.

If they were to make another 2D movie, they'd have to re-purchase a bunch of animation equipment they sold/trashed in the wake of 2D's "failure." I know because my college was one of the several California colleges that received their used animation desks/supplies from Disney's "retired" supply. :/
