It's been ok. I'm on house- and pet sitting duty for friends this weekend.

My boyfriend came over and brought supplies to make rope. ( He's a keen shibari rigger and has become rather a rope nerd.)

THe only downer was that my stablemate was supposed to come borrow "my" horse, but in the end didn't show up nor called to let me know.

Two dogs ( drever and yellow lab), one cat, two horses ( Northswedish drafts) and a bunch of chickens.

Company was definitely good, especially since the bf is going away to Germany for a week.

That's not too bad. Hope the animals won't cause to much trouble for you.

Then I'm really glad he was able to stop by. Will he be leaving before or after you're done housesitting?

Nah, they're pretty low maintenance and well behaved.

He left already. Just stopped in for a few hours, but I'll be seeing him again on the 18th. :)

That's good. How long will you be houseitting? Have you done it for this hiuse before?

Awe. It was sweet of him to stop by for a few hours before leaving. It won't be too long before you see him again, so that's good.

I'll be here 'til monday morning. I've sat this house lots of times, usually a weekend or a week. It's a little bit of a trade for being allowed to ride and drive one of the horses as much as I like. The longest I've sat here was back when that volcano on Iceland had a fit, so the houseowners ( on vacation all the way down in Bahrain) couldn't get home. Those were long 4 extra days.
