Even if they are together, you're still creepily obsessed and that's still not kosher. Look, if they are, great, it'll probably either come out eventually. But up until that happens, it's purely speculation, and people are right to call you out on it.

And I'm just saying re: the clothes thing, I borrow clothes from my friends all the time. We're not secretly in love. It might be different for them, it might not, but the whole point is that you don't know and yes, you're being one of the tinhatters that you once hated.

I used to know a guy who'd share underwear with his fraternity house roommate.

They were not dating.

Yeah, I know a bunch of guys that share their clothes, right down to their skivvies if it came down to it, and they were definitely not dating. Same with girls, to be fair. I'm not really sure where this notion that it's a huge romantic gesture came from.

Both dudes are also definitely taller than average, so they might find it not-super-easy to find clothes. I have a 6'2 boyfriend, and if our 6'4 friend was thin enough to share clothes? He would.
