I'm trying to think of something good that's happened recently, and it's hard to, which sucks. My husband got let go from his job yesterday due to office politics, and that's...really all I can think about.

Um.

I saw a bear today! :D And when I woke up, there was a large pack of wild turkeys roaming through my yard, picking at what I can only assume were delicious things.

Yeah, what sucks even more is that we could kind of see it coming. He was a relatively new hire, still in his probationary period, and a little over two weeks ago, the guy who hired him got demoted and transferred. No one will discuss what happened, but apparently it was pretty serious, because now they're getting rid of everyone he hired within the past handful of months.

My husband got them to commit to giving him a reference, though, so that's good.
