lol are you me? Although I'm single so all I ever need to do to find a penis or a vagina is hit up ye olde craigslist.

Of course, we all know that can be a disaster if someone happens to be misrepresenting themselves.

Oh god. I am so terrified of meeting someone through craigslist. Nightmares are made of that stuff.

It's not actually terrible most of the time. I can imagine there'd be more of a fear factor for a woman (not trying to be misogynist here, just talking in a pragmatic sense) but basically every person I've met has been more or less sane.

There's the gamut of cheaters, closeted guys, closeted women, creepy individuals, intensely socially awkward people and the like, but more often than not it's the same spread as normal dating. And for the most part, I tend to meet people who are like yourself- in open relationships and looking for something they don't normally get from their full time partner.

Just exercising the same kind of caution you'd have with any internet meetup (meet in a public place, exchange pictures and stats beforehand, make sure rules about names and personal information are laid out beforehand...etc etc) really cuts down on the chances of getting into a bad/awkward situation.

Which isn't to say that some people don't post fake pics and stats, but it's pretty easy to just walk away from that when it happens.
