They'll cry about how an unthinking, unfeeling organism will die because of abortion and yet you never hear them saying that organ donation and blood donation should be mandatory.

Fuck them.

Right to life? Why does a fetus have more of a right to life than someone waiting for a heart or kidney or liver transplant?

The argument usually made, I think, is that someone indirectly allowing someone to die is not the same as someone directly killing them. Not saying I agree. That's the distinction drawn.

Bullshit.

If you get into a car accident and injure someone, you are in no way required to donate blood. And donating blood is a much smaller investment than a fucking pregnancy. Even if you hurt someone so badly that they needed one of your kidneys or they'd die, you wouldn't be required to donate to them.

Fuck pro-lifer hypocrisy.

*shrug* That's what they believe afaik. That passively withholding aid isn't the same thing as actively killing. So it's okay to not help poor people or forget about the welfare or quality of life of the not-aborted babies after they're born, but going and ending a life is murder.

That's why they disgust me. If a driver hits another person and damages their body, requiring an organ transplant, and the driver dies, pro-life people think it's perfectly okay that the law doesn't force the driver to hand over the necessary organs (if he/she is a match), even though he's dead.

But a woman should devote 9 months of her life to an organism that can't even think or feel.

And they call that "pro-life." Like I said earlier -- fuck them.

I partially agree with them. If you saved someone's life and they told you that since you saved that life you're responsible for it from now on, would you become their provider? I think not.

That doesn't mean they're okay with it? I think a lot of them just don't talk about it as much because it's not as constantly brought up as abortion.

Except that they claim to be pro-life and they're doing NOTHING to address the huge issue of waiting lists for organs. An issue which would use corpses rather than living people.

You want to know why?

Because tackling this issue would cross some people's religious beliefs (since they have to be buried whole). And, apparently, religious beliefs trump people's lives.

It's disgusting hypocrisy.

We have to bury corpses whole! But those damn women don't have a right to bodily autonomy until they're fucking dead.
