I don't know "raise hell" but could the connection be that people in these universes are morally grey at the very least - going on bad? I think that's the thing, really: while the settings are different, the characters could work in each universe.

The show is called Hell on Wheels and it's about building the transcontinental railroad across the US.

Hell on Wheels definitely fits into this head canon. It would be the first you should watch, followed by Mad Men, Breaking Bad/ The Killing and end it TWD.

I only watch HoW and (used to watch) The Killing, and their main characters are always morally ambiguous/complex.
