Avengers/Harry Potter fusion:

Steve's a Muggle who got pulled into Wizarding affairs (via the fight against Grindelwald) after Project Rebirth left him immune to most magic.
Natasha's a witch who was educated at Durmstrang during the bad old days.
Clint's an unregistered Animagus.
Bruce is a squib (which is probably good, given the Hulk's lack of impulse control).
Thor is technically considered a Magical Creature by the Wizarding Authorities.
And Tony is, quite possibly, the most dysfunctional Hufflepuff ever. (Howard sent him away to Hogwarts, and was massively disappointed in his Sorting results.)

Together, they fight crime! (And Dark Wizards!)
