I think I'm just scared that I'll be caught between the HARDCORE GAMERZ who hate any sort of pairing (yes, I've met some of these before) and the fans who like Sol/Ky and other pairings. It's extremely irrational, and I dont' have this feeling in any other fandom, only GG. It's like just because I'm a worse player, I don't get credit.

Naw, it's ok. My advice is don't worry about the omg hardcore gamerz -- everyone starts somewhere. I'm not that great of a player myself. If you're not interested in nitty-gritty mechanics discussions and matchups, stick to the fanfiction/art parts of fandom. I don't interact with the "gamer" part of the fandom much -- I just read forums to improve my playing and don't ever post.

And Sol/Ky fans can fuck off. They're like the most popular pairing ever and they should stop whining if people are writing Venom/Zato XD
