Strangely, dehumanization/objectification, of the "gratuitous sex slave" variety. The closest I get is either consensual D/s and sex slavery (fun in its own way, but not what I'm looking for) or really angsty fic about someone's experiences *coughcoughWinterSoldiercoughcough* being turned into more of a 'thing' than a person. Also fun, also not what I'm looking for.

Could you explain more? I like sex slaves but I'm not into dehumanization generally, and I'm not sure how much my likes line up with yours here.

I'm not into dehumanization outside of porn. Inside porn, though, I like things like, collars and leashes, people in cages, and owners basically taking what they want regardless of whether or not the sex slave likes it or cares for it. I prefer "gratuitous" because when it's just so obviously and blatantly sexual enslavement for the purpose of titillation, then it becomes so unrelated to real life consent issues that it's easier to just distance myself from said consent issues of real life and enjoy the fantasy for what it is.

One of my recent favorites in that line has been the Mirrorverse Avengers series. I wish there was more like it.

Like I said, there's been a bit more recently, but not quite what I'm looking for. Even on the Hydra Trash Meme, it's either more on the angsty side, or the Winter Soldier actually being an object, mentally - as in, he doesn't fight back or have any objections - tends to take some of the "fun" out of it. :P

The more I write in this thread, the more of a creep I feel like...

At least some measure of objection or dubiousness, in a way that affirms that their owner really is just 'taking what they want' and the slave kind of has to go along with it. Certainly not opposed to said slave enjoying themselves, whether they want to or not... :P

See, that's what I find weird, because I like a lot of that but it gets squicky for me when they treat them as some kind of animal. It has to be a case of them treating them as a different class of human or something for me.

That's exactly it, actually, and that's what I don't go for most dehumanization fic in fandom. I don't like out and out actual animal play (collars and leashes, as well as cages, are sort of 'independent' kinks of mine that play into this one really well for me). But yeah, a different class of human within society is probably the best way to put it. :)
