Suprisingly good combos

Ever do a spice experiment? I just sprinkled cloves and coriander in my cocoa. It was surprisingly good!

Not spice but - dates go really well with bacon.

I don't think I've ever had dates! :O

They are quite nice (though sugar bombs, as they are often sweetened)

I love bacon-wrapped dates that have been sprinkled with a little brown sugar and broiled. Really great appetizer, it always makes people adore you at parties. Alternatively, skip the brown sugar and glaze 'em with balsamic vinegar.

I don't know if this totally counts since one of the things is a sauce, but I really like mixing cinnamon and buffalo sauce together.

It counts! I should have specified it doesn't have to be spices.

You reminded me that I've had cinnamon on melted cheddar cheese before and it's great too.

Bacon and strawberry jam is apparently a really good combination according to 3 or so of my friends. I haven't actually dared to try it yet myself.

Red cheddar and raspberry jam also works really well. Comes out salty-sweet.

Not a spice, but today I dipped onion rings in honey and found I rather liked it.

I used to dip chicken nuggets in honey when I was a kid. Not honey-mustard sauce, just honey.

I did the exact same thing! McDonald's?

(I don't like mustard or honey mustard. just honey)

It's not experimental since it was specifically suggested in the pamphlet, but I am amazed by the combination of good vanilla ice cream and the blackberry-ginger balsamic vinegar I found at a local specialty store.

Coke with lemon in it and Hawaiian potato chips are the perfect blend of sweet, sour and salty.
Pumpkin cinnamon ginger nutmeg cake with orange icing and a shot of good whisky. Amazing.

Fried potatoes with Mccormick condiment. Cream cheese and strawberry jam. Carrot and strawberry juice. Those are the ones at the top of my mind.
