My opinion on this is that there are always people who use ~The Rules~ as an excuse to shit on people who don't follow them so they can feel better about themselves. That's why snobbery exists. The rabid anti-SJWers pat themselves on the back because their viewpoint is Right and Correct, and they are defending society from the evil forces of Censorship and Not Liking Things That I Like. The rabid SJWers use social justice terms as weapons to establish a pecking order, and attack people who don't follow their rules exactly for an ego boost. But of course it can't possibly be bullying because they're doing it for feminist/not racist/not ableist reasons, so it's perfectly okay~!

Basically, bullies are co-opting social justice terms as an excuse to be catty, while extremist anti-SJWers are just as catty and annoying (except when they're posting peoples' personal info and threatening to rape them, in which case they're terrifying and need to be stopped).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are bullies on both sides, who use terms and try to cloak their behavior as a Righteous Mission, but are really just shitty people who enjoy establishing a pecking order and making the people they see as below them miserable.
