Characters who don't like kids and aren't penalized for it.

Not the kind who hate kids, not the grumpy kind who hate the world anyway, not the kind who just aren't any good with kids, not the kind who SAY they don't like/want kids but are secretly just worried they'd be a bad parent (*forever bitter about NCIS LA*), and especially not the kind who are turned around on the idea after some super special moment with kids (they just don't know how awesome it really is!).

Just a person who doesn't care for kids but can still be nice to them and talk to them if needed and even take care of them; they just don't want to and there is nothing negative about that.

I'd like to see this as well. I really hate when stories ALMOST give me a character like that but then they turn it around to "oh they secretly did want kids this whole time!"

They especially need to have more female characters without an interest in being a mom.

Yes please. I am so tired of happily-ever-afters always ending in babies, even when it makes no sense for the character to suddenly decide they want children.

Let's see more characters who are happily married (or single) but have decided that kids just aren't for them and they're perfectly happy that way.

This, this so hard.
