Are you paying rent to your parents? If that's the case, is there any kind of household activity they would consider accepting as a form of in-kind rent (e.g., lawn care, snow removal, errands, pet care, etc.)?

Yes. I am.

Nah chores are considered compulsory as is the whole "you live here , you contribute deal".

Hmm I have tried talking a few times and they're always insistent about the rent because I need to pay my share, which I guess is fair. They're kinda rigid when it comes to this. *sigh*

Ohh I'm aware of that I think , but I'll check it out. and Goodwill sounds interesting, I should give that a look.

Thanks a bunch! and thanks for always being so nice to me . :3

They're your parents. Unless you've been paying rent your entire life, "your share" is a flexible sum.

well ...I went a year without paying anything (cause I couldn't find a job) and they keep reminding me that "we've been taking care of you since you were 18 and we don't have to do that since you're an adult"

Nevermind that when I was 18 I was the mental equivalent of like..15. *sigh*
