How can you see this as being overly aggressive? This person is saying that if someone challenges their headcanon they will defend and explain it.
If I headcanon a character as something, and someone tells me it's "wrong", what should I do? Immediately fold and go, yes, of course you're right, he's not, I won't read him as trans anymore? Like, the only situation where "aggressively defending" lgbt headcaonons even comes up is when people come to you and tell you that they're impossible and you're delusional. The secret even provides a good example itself. People being shitty about trans headcanons happens all the time, I have never actually seen someone get attacked for not sharing a headcanon. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's not a widespread fandom problem. What I do see happen is people arguing against the idea that a character can't be gay or trans because of historical accuracy or whatever, and there is nothing wrong with that.

All of your "I dont mind lgbt headcanons until they get pushy" bullshit is just that.

Pretty much. The person's even mentioning people arguing with them. Seems like OP either chose a bad example or just gets way too touchy over tone.

Yeah, I have no idea where most of the people in this thread are coming from. Defending the idea that a fictional character could be trans is harming the cause? Wtf?
