OP

I couldn't deal with The Answer.
I think the only way I'll ever play to the end of that game would be if they actually come around to making another game (or anything really) where Elisabeth goes on that rescue mission they keep hinting at. But if that never happens, I'm not going to play it.

I only got through the answer because I was in such denial that I thought the game was actually presenting me with the choice to go back in time and save MC. a lot of fans think changing MC's fate would ruin the ending but I'm honestly 1000% rooting for Elizabeth to somehow do it. (and objectively I don't think it'd ruin the ending anyways. there are logical ways to go about it.)

Yeah, while I can see where they're coming from, considering that the sacrifice was the Only Way Out, but still, I wish there would have been a possibilty to avoid it. Like (different genre and game mechanics, I know) you had different possibilities to avoid the Final Sacrifice of your PC in Dragon Age Origins.

I actually could have dealt with a instant sacrifice, but what kicked me in the gut so much was the MC's lifeless husk dragging themself on and on just to keep their promise in the end. Just. No.
Or they could have left it open whether the MC actually dies or stays in a coma, that way, there would have been an easier way out.
