Donal Logue is in this? Ooo, now I'm more interested. Also, whoever is playing Riddler is adorable. Not sure I'm comfortable with that...

I feel like, if you're going to find a Batman villain adorable, Riddler is probably one of your better choices, really.

TBH I think you're right (at least it isn't Victor Zsasz), but I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Riddler and don't like finding him attractive.

That's interesting. Could you expand on that (if it's not too much trouble or anything)? I have to admit Riddler seems like a bit of a strange character to have conflicting opinions about...

It isn't anything terribly complex, I just can't ever decide if I like him or not. Sometimes I love him, sometimes I hate him. In the Arkham games I would sometimes get so fed up with his voice and just want to punch him in his smug face, and then when I first started solving his riddles in Origins I couldn't stop smiling. It's weird. IDK.

Ah! Fair enough then. Just hope it's a good portrayal I guess so that you can crush on him with less cognitive dissonance (if that's how it plays out).

Riddler is a tricky character, I think. He has a ton of potential to be a good villain but a lot of the time he's really bad. He walks that line between serious and joke and it's really hard to balance.

IMO you're right, he has lots of potential but like everything, that's dependent on the writing. I actually thought he was well done in the Arkham games verse, but still found myself being annoyed by him at times. (Though to be fair...that was part of the point, I think.)

I didn't give much thought to this series before now, but I'm kind of getting pumped for it... Hopefully it turns out nicely. (And FOX doesn't axe it after a promising first season...)

I'm okay with handsome devil Riddler. Don't know much about the actual show premise yet, but if DetectiveStint!Riddler is a thing that happens, I'll be ruined in my heart.

I just don't want to be attracted to Riddler...but fuck, if it happens it happens.

I will probably watch, too. Detective!Riddler could be interesting! I am curious as to what they're going to do with the other villains as well.

TBH, I'm only going to watch this because I have such an awkward lady wood for Donal Logue. I can't even explain it.

It has to be, like some primal Celtic ginger something deep inside me that says, "look at that over manly Celt over there. Go forth and fuck his brains out and produce many fine ginger children with him. They shall be ginger and manly and warriors unless they are girls and then they will be ginger and womanly and warriors and they shall be the finest in the land. Now, go get that dick and ride it like your ancestors rode to kill the English" or something.

I don't question my libido any more. I just go with it.

...omg, how can I even respond to that? I can't outdo that, so I'm not even going to try. I like your honestly and sense of humor, anon. (And red hair is gorgeous. I get the appeal, even if I'm not particularly attracted to Donal Logue. He's a pretty good looking guy all the same, and a great actor, so I think no matter your reason for watching him, you aren't wasting your time!)
