I actually recently had a request from an agent to read my manuscript. It's about a kid who has the power to set things on fire by snapping his fingers.

While that's out on submission, I'm writing another book. The main character saw his first angel when he was nine and drowning in the Atlantic. He saw his second angel when he was fourteen and there was a car crash that killed his parents and royally fucked up his shoulder. The third time he saw an angel, she was huddled in a corner of his garage, naked and unable to speak.

Eventually the angel is going to turn out to be a risen demon, and she ends up choosing to be neither and takes a third option. The boy's got a friend who sees demons, the King of the Cats makes an appearance, and the boy and his brother come to terms with the deaths of their parents and their relationship.

Ohhh wow! That sounds really interesting!

I like it. Also the King of Cats sounds interesting too....is that a reference to Shakespeare?

His name is Tybalt, but he makes more references to Tom Tildrum and Tim Toldrum than Romeo and Juliet. Physically, he's based on the guy in my icon. In the story, he's either a risen demon or a fallen angel (he won't say which) and also took a third option rather than choosing to be entirely good or entirely evil.
