It is in case you start to have an extreme reaction or really soak your self in a lot of it. You should certainly wash your arm thoroughly to get the residue off, it doesn't do you much good, but if it is just a little it'll not do you much harm. It is mainly a CYA for the pesticide company, but even household insecticides can do damage if you have a sensitivity or if you get a large dose.

I see. Yeah, I rinsed as directed. I was just surprised by the strength of the warning. I was like wondering if I was going to grow another ear or something.
