Hmm, is Mushishi too old now? Terror in Resonance has adult characters, but you're still stuck with the teenagers as main POV.

The rest of Mushishi's second season is airing next season, but I figured I'd go with currently airing stuff.

All too aware, unfortunately. I just wasn't sure if it could be counted since the newest season is a sequel to something that pre-dates most of the current trends. At least they released another special in between the break.
