I agree he's not the greatest ever or anything. I actually prefer his video series on youtube to his books. But I don't understand his hatedom. He just seems so…innocuous really. I'm guessing it's hype backlash?

Saaame. I've read a couple of his books and enjoyed them (though they're hardly Shakespeare). So I'm not a big fan or anything, but, to me, he just seems like a sweet guy who's done very well for himself and doesn't seem to have let the fame/money go to his head.
