Yuletide!

(Anonymous) 2014-09-19 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)For my own nominations, I only have one that's for certain and many others to choose from. I'm waffling between picking something I want to read and something I'm willing to write. I've gone over the spreadsheet that they've started on LJ and there's almost nothing I'd be willing to write/want to read. But I know last year there were a ton of fandoms I was comfortable with and the spreadsheet/brainstorming are only a small portion. I just wish I knew for sure. The thing I'm most unhappy with (though I understand it) is that they won't be approving nominations until nominations are closed, so you can't know if others have been accepted and not nominate the same thing.

I still tip my hat - in an entirely non ironic and respectful way -- to the Yuletide mods. It's a huge undertaking.

I suppose they'll just put what they nominated now but the other way -- when they're approved -- you knew they couldn't change their minds and what they nominated was something you definitely had the option of offering. It's a little thing, and I do understand why they changed it, but that's my preference.
