I currently have somewhat chronic tendonitis (sp?) in my right foot. (And thank you)

If it's that time of the month pains (my own monthly dose of pain), try applying heat to your abdomen? Also tiger balm helps.

What exactly is that, and is it over the counter?

It's a neurotransmitter precursor medication that basically makes more of that neurotransmitter available. It makes opioid (and some non-opioid) pain medications have a greater effect without actually having to increase the dose of the medication. It's an off-label effect, generally not prescribed for that purpose.

It's generally not an OTC prescription in most countries, but if your primary care physician is a reasonable one, it's something to discuss with your her/him.
