I don't know the person in question or there motives, but I do know that I sometimes have a visceral reaction to the OTP/NOTP switch, and I sometimes use my blog to vent, if not to that degree, so it's hard for me to really judge.

It could be attention seeking behavior, but it could also be a legit neurological thing. Or it could be both. I'm not qualified to say. If you enjoy the good stuff, my best advice is to just skip past the next bout of histrionics as best you can and try to ignore the behavior. You don't need to be the one providing pats and cuddles when things go wrong, but if this is someone with actual problems, you also don't have to be the one providing a slap in the face-- for some people, being told to get it together is only going to lead to more tears, and it doesn't matter how well-meaning you are, or how much the other person needs to fix something in their life.
