I think mine was Haruka/Michiru from Sailor Moon. I was obsessed with this show. Never cared much for the whole Usagi/Mamoru thing but when the Outers entered the picture I immediately was in love with the portrayal of their relationship (It wasn't censored in my country thank god).

That was definitely my first internet-era ship too - and at the time I was still halfway stuck in my very conservative Christian upbringing ways, and had only just learned a few years ago that I actually knew some REAL LIVE GAY PEOPLE, so being so touched by Haruka/Michiru was sort of a huge thing for me.

Before the internet though, I had ships from older fandoms... I remember being really invested in Celes/Locke from Final Fantasy VI in particular, and I think my fascination with Kain in FFIV was in part because I already shipped Cecil/Rosa/Kain OT3 and just didn't recognize it as such yet. XD
