And I thought Jaybie was annoyingly obsessed with her OCs, but that's nothing to how obsessed hater!anon seemed to be with her.

She could be yeah. But from what I saw (after the whole Character Types thread) that MIGHT have been the whole social skills thing. I mean she got all super defensive that time but them apologized in a followup thread and started freaking out about how she was a horrible author.

Kinda dramatic and really awkward, yeah.

But...I don't think that was being arrogant or having an ego. I mean in the whole writing thread ,she always seemed excited about other people's ideas too. And after that she pretty much seemed to be trying to keep her idea talk to writing thread (from what I saw.)

Other than that she seemed super polite and apologized a lot, and didn't really get mean unless she was defensive.

and let's face it with someone following you and insulting you about something important to you,and harassing you about participating in conversation, it's not hard to not take it well.

Also..just a thought. If the troll/stalker anon comes back...like don't even acknowledged him at all. No to get mad or nothing. This guy seems to thrive on any attention he can get. I think if we all just sorta ignore him and let him have his little circlejerks...he'll eventually go away.

Jaybie took the high road originally and realized the conversation wasn't going anywhere. She stopped. The anon persisted. It's all on them.

And honestly, I didn't think Jaybie did anything bad other than expressing an unpopular opinion and mentioning it again. Unless I missed where that was all she'd talk about six days in a row or something.

Worst thing you can do is get Case to freeze or delete it, because that is the mother of all reactions. It means they have trolled not just the target, but Case as well. They made a thread freeze or vanish. I suspect Case's policy of deletion only spurred them on to greater lengths.

I imagine (and hope) she'll be okay, but I think after all the shit that went down it's understandable that she would want to take a break from this place. (If that is indeed what she is doing.) Not much point in spending your time here if you aren't going to get some enjoyment out of it, and maybe whoever was harassing her will get bored of waiting for her return and find something else to do.
