When I was 13, my family drove to New York (from Michigan - 14 hrs in the car one way) for a wedding. At one point we smelled this horrible smell that wouldn't go away and we blamed it on my youngest brother farting. He got really mad and upset and insisted it wasn't him but we all were like "totes you brah." Then on the way back a week later we smelled the same smell in the same place and we realized that we were actually driving past a really big garbage dump.
