Maybe FTMs like fandom and slash because they can express themselves, their desires, and their feelings about their body without feeling like they're being judged for it. And maybe some guys--trans or cis--fucking like being cutesy and not having to be judged for that too.
Thank you. I'm personally happy that many of us have found a space where we DON'T have to pretend to be someone else all the time, and that we can be accepted as ourselves. Also, I'm getting really sick of the belief that one has to be either closeted in every meaning of the word or fulfilling a set role to "not be fake." So fucking what if someone finds bishounen or visual kei a more appealing male dynamic than the American Manly Man (tm) stereotype? That's their choice, it's their life, and if you don't like it, you can deal with it or avoid them. *headdesk*
