1.) I have a similiar problem. I can't say that most of the music I listen to is off of fanmixes, though a few are, but the only way I can really love a song and connect with it is if I can apply it to a fandom, character, or pairing that I love. And I don't regret it, either.

44. The way everyone was so relentlessly cruel to Luke after what happened broke my heart. He was devastated, broken so completely by those events that he became a completely different person, and his friends were all dicks to him. Guy would have been understandable but Guy was the only one who wasn't a dick to him! It's incredible. I hated Tear for the way she treated him in particular. OTP lololol.

Whatever.

(The reason I stopped playing the game, though, is because the fucking overworld map was so impossible to navigate.)

Agreed. I almost couldn't finish the game for that very reason. I started hating all the characters for what they did to him and it really tainted the whole thing for me.

3. Genius investigators have to wear shoes now? Shoes suck. If I was a genius investigator and could get away with it, I wouldn't wear shoes, ever.

14. Maybe getting into slash and/or yaoi actually made people realize they were trans. Maybe FTMs like fandom and slash because they can express themselves, their desires, and their feelings about their body without feeling like they're being judged for it. And maybe some guys--trans or cis--fucking like being cutesy and not having to be judged for that too.

Thank you. I'm personally happy that many of us have found a space where we DON'T have to pretend to be someone else all the time, and that we can be accepted as ourselves. Also, I'm getting really sick of the belief that one has to be either closeted in every meaning of the word or fulfilling a set role to "not be fake." So fucking what if someone finds bishounen or visual kei a more appealing male dynamic than the American Manly Man (tm) stereotype? That's their choice, it's their life, and if you don't like it, you can deal with it or avoid them. *headdesk*

22. That's why you watch/give something a try before making a decision. I've watched several episodes and still do not like it, so whatever. This happened to me with Final Fantasy XII recently, I've hated it for so long but now that I actually got past the beginning, I love it.

I played it through the whole way and really disliked long-haired Luke (actually, I dislike short-haired Luke too, the supporting cast is a lot better), but I thought it was totally fucked up. I guess it was mainly because I'd probably react the same way and would want emotional support from my friends, not to be shunned completely. He was tricked by someone he completely trusted, and he though it'd make people think better of him. It was stupid of him, but still. It'd really hurt, and it took me way too long to try and understand the other characters' mindsets.

Just from personal experience, being "needed" like that is really taxing. But it's not something you'll get over until you get into a situation like that and get burned out on it.
