I actually agree. It is possible to tell someone who has real problems with their gender from someone who is in it for the "KAWAII BISHIE! I'D BE SO CUTE IN YAOI" aspect. Then there are those "FTM"s who have such low self esteem from either being fat, ugly, or both, that they wish they were another person so they pretend to be a boy with a different name, but that's a whole different can of worms. I hate both types.

3. Hate him as much as you want. Don't belittle other people for liking him and everyone should get along fine. I do, however, have to argue with your shoe comment. I may not be anywhere near L's level (besides Light, is anyone?), but I'm a smart person, and I hate shoes. I only ONLY wear them if I'm going somewhere I'm required to wear them. In the house? Never. Not socks, either. And for car rides where I won't be going in anywhere? I go bare-footed then too. It's a personal thing, and I don't think it says anything about someone's intelligence.
