2. I'm all for batshit fandoms. In fact, the community I run for my main fandom is dedicated entirely to mocking the fandom and series! (playthedamncard) </pimpage>

You've only seen the Abridged Series? But you're missing so much! I mean, as awesome as TAS is, there's quite a bit in canon that is sheer crackawesomeness! We have pretty boys with sadistic other halves, people getting set on fire, Ancient Egypt, teenagers that never go to school because they're too busy playing childrens' card games, teenage billionaire CEOs, mind control, more subtext than is possibly healthy, and more crack than you could imagine.

For example:

We have canon crotch shots and boy whores and canon love confessions!


This, by the way, is the actual Shonen Jump translation. Even they can't deny teh ghey.

And that's just brushing the surface. 8D

8. I've never seen SPN, but if the brothers are similar to the Elrics, I'm greatly intrigued. Exactly how similar are they? :O

They give off a general vibe, I think. I mean, you can't exactly peg Sam or Dean as Al or Ed, but they share a lot of general characteristics. Plus, they're just made of win. If you liked FMA, you should definitely give Supernatural a chance.

Probably because there's a lot more evidence for the Yami x Yuugi pairing. At least, in the anime, anyway.

Still, I maintain that Pre-Battle City (manga) is filled, with YuuJou subtext. ♥ I heart it for that, even if I prefer Yami/Yuugi.

Dammit, now I really, really want to watch Yu-Gi-Oh. I confess - I've read the manga for the arc before they started playing cards (Oh, Shounen Jump, I eventually managed to quit you.)

But DAMN. I think you sold me. As soon as I finish watching at least a couple gigs of anime. My harddrive is maxed out. O.o

If you'd like, I can give you a few links. First, here's a general pimpage of the series in all its forms.
Media Download List containing much of the series subbed. Though, they're Hong Kong subs, which meant someone who couldn't speak Japanese or English went through the series using Bablefish (Only, not really, it's just a joke since the subbing is so terribly bad at times. Still, very LOL-worthy)
Kokoro No Naka; a really good fansite with a nice, big gallery.
Janime.Net Another pretty good fansite, with downloads of the manga, opening and ending themes, and more. 8D

Also, youtube has quite a few of the episodes of both the Shadow Games series (the series from the first 7 volumes of the manga never shown in the US; aka before all the kids got obsessed with childrens' card games) and the Duel Monsters series (the infamous 4kids-dubbed series that's a lot better in the original form). That way, you don't have to download anything. xD
