Anything involving money and/or budgeting and/or paying bills

Cooking, even simple things (I failed at making rice in a rice cooker the other day).

Rice cookers are unusually tricky I find. That and steamers.

Rice cookers are super tricky! I still haven't figured out the trick to them yet.

I am good with money as long as I don't try to. As soon as I try a budgeting app or such, it all falls apart.

I only recently learned to cook some things!

Rice up to the first knuckle, water up to just past the second knuckle. It's never failed me.

I followed the directions and used the marking on the bowl for the water. But I guess it was too much? And I totally overcooked it.

I didn't know you could mess up rice in a rice cooker! Sounds like me any time I try to make pasta.

I had a rice cooker (standard equipment in Korea) and it was one of the really simple ones with no fancy buttons. You just put in some rice, put in twice as much water as rice (I'd often do like a Dixie cup of rice and two of water) and turn it on, and it turns off automatically when it's done (when the water's gone). You can also make barley in a rice cooker and it comes out quite nice.
